Hurray!! Half work is done on my study-material collection!

I have finished working on the first 200 themes in my study-material collection! So far we gathered over 20 thousand examples of games on these themes! Here are some nice examples from it:

The theme is: Nf5 sacrifice in the Sicilian:

The next game is from the theme “Rook lift to the 3rd rank to attack the King”:

Everyone who is interested in this study-material collection can send an e-mail with questions/requests to yelena@yelenadembo.com .

Olympiad – rounds 8 and 9

In round 8 we played Azeris, always a tough match in any European champ. or Olympiad. I was worse for most of the game against Z.Mamedyarova (WGM 2285) due to bad system choice but managed to exchange the most dangerous pieces of the opponent and drew. Unfortunately though, we lost 1.5-2.5.

In round 9 we got Puerto Rico and I had to play a 12 year old girl with 1916 ELO. I don’t even remember when I played a 12 year old last time! 🙂 Anyway, we won 4-0 🙂

Olympiad – round 7

I drew IM Matnadze (2422 ELO) with Black in a very long and crazy game (93 moves). Unfortunately the team lost 1.5-2.5 to Spain 🙁

Here is my game:
