A tough day is ending. In the morning and early afternoon I worked on the Advanced French and then I had 6 hours of lessons, five of them being in a row! But every student improves, learns new things every day, so I am happy! 🙂
Tomorrow is a new day, with more French and lessons awaiting me and my students!
This book is very interesting and is the most recent work on the French! Yesterday I have started to input & work on the material from it. Already found some new ideas and have only got to page 17! Lets see what future brings! 🙂
This game is from my own practice. The game was played back in 2000 and (I believe) is not only a slightly wild and interesting game 🙂 but more importantly is a good example of how to think and evaluate the position correctly. Many people, including my students who have just started taking lessons often ask me how to do it. The answer is in this game!
I was very glad to read in the newest edition of yearbook (already 100!!) that he considers the Scotch Game book written by me and IM Richard Palliser to be among the top 20 most inspirational opening books of the decade! In fact this is what he writes about the authors: “Richard Palliser has become the mainstay of the Everyman team, with his widespread knowledge and ability to pick out the quintesential points. In recent years, Yelena Dembo has become the most influential female opening analyst around. Together they have come up with a high standard monograph for all levels”.
