While Tomashevaky didn’t manage to get advantage out of the white color, Kramnik did manage to get a winning position against Vachier-Lagrave but wasn’t able to convert it! Both pairs proceed to tie-breaks!

Two very short (14 and 16 moves) happened yesterday. Players are tired but is it good for chess itself, commentators and spectators?! Hopefully, the stronger (by ELO at least :)) players will be in the mood to fight today!

It all finished before blitz! Andreikin won 1.5-0.5 against Svidler and Vachier-Lagrave won against Caruana (all in rapid). So, Tomashevsky is going to play Andreikin and Kramnik – Vachier-Lagrave.
