Thus he won the event and will be challenging Anand for the world title next year! Congratulations!!

Candidates Matches – Quater-finals

Kamsky and Gelfand advanced to the semi-finals after beating Topalov & Mamedyarov respectively. Kramnik won the tiebreaks match against Radjabov (after playing 8 games!) and Grischuk only needed four to knock-out Aronian.
So the semi-final pairs are Grischuk-Kramnik and Kamsky-Gelfand.
